For the Northern Hemisphere, Spring has arrived! It is a beautiful season but tough for many with pollen and mold allergy. The weather was beautiful, and I went for a walk with a friend forgetting to check the pollen counts of the week and the day. Itchy eyes, itchy skin, watery eyes, and nose, feeling drowsy, losing voice. It is challenging to face the reality of staying indoors to wait for the pollen count to drop after a long winter indoors and the presence of inviting sunny and longer days. It is very hard. These paperweights in the picture might represent that. A frame that protects. But also a frame that contains. The paperweight might represent a "frozen" moment, and we wish, to freeze good moments. How about the bad ones? Unless we "reframe it" we would get stuck in bad moments. How do we reframe staying indoors while the outdoors invite you out? How? I will call it the "paperweight closer look". By taking a closer look at what matters. By paying attention to acts of kindness and generosity. By being present in the moment. By serving others. The big things on the small things. What do I see inside the paperweight? HOPE.
