COMING TO LIGHT

Here in Ithaca, it is time when the spring ephemerals start to emerge. Interestingly, when I looked up synonyms for emergence, "coming to light" appeared. As a biologist, I have always been fascinated by how plants respond to light and gravity. It is fascinating how light and gravity (main factors) gently guide the plant to where they need to be, well-rooted and receiving enough light for blooming.
