Have you ever felt overwhelmed by complexity?Some things in life are complex, not complicated, although we, human beings, have learned to "resolve" the "complication" of things. But if things are complex, treating them as complicated sounds counterproductive, unnatural, and it is. Complexity invites us to be part of, not the hero nor the solution. Awe to the multitude of variables involved, awe to what rises from what one cannot explain. We see, smell the flowers, a simple picture of what is usual for our eyes to see and our brain to interpret as something beautiful. And how complex it is! Yes, plants are amazingly complex, and it is up to us to choose to see the patterns or to see the beauty or the reason for their existence. Our fellow humans are complex too!
